SCHIP is a fun, thriving, and fast growing upscale resale boutique in Shelburne! You may have seen us - the yellow building near the library on Shelburne Road. We are a non-profit, returning revenue to the community in grants.

SCHIP seeks a dynamic professional to oversee our retail shop and donations. This position will work collaboratively with the Board and Merchandise Coordinator to continue to build on a retail program that reflects SCHIP’s unique brand and goals.

The normal work hours will include weekday and some weekend hours totaling 35+/- hours per week. In-town driving (during normal working hours) between the shop and the warehouse will be necessary.

Experience in Inventory control required. Must be able to lift 30+ pounds on a regular basis. Must be computer literate with basic financial skills.


Works with the Shop/Warehouse Operations Coordinator and warehouse volunteers in receiving donations from the shop, sorting items according to established criteria and preparing them for sale in the shop. Work primarily focuses on merchandise preparation including tagging, steaming, hanging, and distributing. May also be asked to work in the shop from time to time, the Sales Associate description should be considered part of the Fashion Warehouse Associate position.

The Sales Associate works under the supervision of the Manager, who is supervised by the Operations chairperson and Operations committee of the board of SCHIP. The Sales Associate must be energetic and involved in the day-to-day operations of the shop, including customer service, and keeping the store orderly and attractive.
